Tomorrow is my hubby’s birthday! I was racking my brain on how to make it special for him even though we are separated by a great distance. I contacted his school, which has a spouse organization made up of mostly wives of the medical students. I e-mailed them and asked if anyone would be willing to make my husband a cake. I was so excited when a lovely gal named Kelsey told me that not only would she make a cake for the hubs but she’d put together a gift basket if I wanted her to. So, I told her all of hubby’s favorite things and she filled a gift basket with fruit, trail mix, m&ms, and some chocolate covered espresso beans. Oh, and she made some homemade bread – Can you believe that? I love how wonderful all the wives were when I e-mailed in. They really have a great support group, and I appreciate Kelsey standing in for me and letting the hubs know I miss him! And let’s get to the truth here: We all know I can’t cook. Thank God his cake was edible!
Love you honey! Have a great day!

P.S.S. The shop has 4 items in it so far! It did have 5 but one of my beautiful vases….dropped in slow motion…. from my desk….crashed & burned (ok it didn’t really burn per say). So sad, but it is in milk glass heaven now (aka waiting to be hammered into pieces for some mosaic glass, lol) I need a better place to organize my shop items, but I thought you would enjoy the behind-the-scenes-keeping-it-real tidbit. All glamour over here, folks.
