About
Catherine Collins is a nationally recognized entrepreneur who started this website as a side project while earning a master’s degree in history.
After using $10 to buy a domain name, Cat regularly updated her followers on how she lived a frugal life on her graduate school stipend.
Little by little, what started as a small blog grew into a multifaceted, six-figure digital media company.
The goal of Mom’s Got Money was, and always has been, to empower women to become financially confident.
In 2020, Cat signed a book deal with Wiley and published Mom’s Got Money: A millennial mom’s guide to managing money like a boss in April 2021.
She has also been featured in dozens of media outlets including Good Morning America, Yahoo Finance, Forbes, U.S. News and World Report, Real Simple, The Huffington Post, Kiplinger, Investopedia, Business Insider, and many more.
Today, she along with her business partner, Andrew Dewar, manage Mom’s Got Money, MillennialHomeowner, and Five Year You.
They also co-host a podcast also named Five Year You.
She currently lives just outside of Detroit, Michigan with her boy/girl twins and a rescue dogs named Julep.
