Dementors & Walnuts

These days, hubs and I primarily communicate through e-mail, and I have to say, my hubs is a pretty funny man.
I’ve already showed you some of our more interesting conversations here and here, but lately he’s been cracking me up with his e-mails.
Here are some snippets:

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it lately but these noise canceling ear phones are great.  I’m sold.  I NEVER would have thought they’d work as well as they do.  They’re like dementors that target sound instead of happiness and hope.  They suck all of the sound and noise right out of the room.

That’s great, babe.

Can you put walnuts in the brownies next time? They are good for memory.

Hmmm. I’ll think about it. I don’t really like walnuts in my brownies.

Please reference the following studies about walnuts and memory & learning.
It’s not a random desire but rather a scientific necessity that I introduce walnuts into my diet.  I think the best way to do that is by using brownies as a vector.

I will consider your claims and will conduct my own research on the matter.
Furthermore, I believe it would be most beneficial to you to stop reading about walnuts and start studying biochemistry.
Yours truly,

If you really love me, you’d make me walnut brownies.  You should CARE about my walnut diet.  Prove that you LOVE and CARE about me. WALNUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it’s safe to say, I should get this man some walnut brownies.
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend!

  1. You guys crack me up! Perfect amount of intelligence smattered with the ludicrous 🙂

  2. This made me laugh out loud. You know I still have never met your husband? I should come visit you in Grenada to fix this… although, if I come while he’s in school I might not get to meet him either ;).

  3. Hahaha VERY persuasive!!!
Come on Cat… make him some walnut brownies!!

  4. Here’s an idea. Make the brownies as usual, then after you put the batter in the pan add walnuts in on one side. You could get messy with your hands or try to swirl them in with a spoon.
